Joe Don Cavender is a seasoned pediatric nurse practitioner and healthcare executive with over three decades of experience at Children’s Health System of Texas. He currently serves as Executive Advisor for New Pediatric Campus Development and Senior Vice President of Patient Experience, providing strategic leadership for one of the nation's largest pediatric healthcare projects. Mr. Cavender is nationally recognized for advancing nursing leadership, building innovative advanced practice provider models, and elevating patient-centered care. He has delivered numerous national presentations and co-authored professional publications and position statements shaping pediatric nursing practice. He is a Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
